As everyone probably remembers, Dennis is a rescue who was found wandering, starving and nearly hairless, in a canyon with three other vizslas. Recently we received some pictures of his brother Scooter (née Jack), another of the rescues. Here’s a side-by-side filmstrip of them. The top two pictures are from around the time they were rescued; the rest are from happier times. What do you think? Brothers? We think so too.

Definitely brothers, but there can only be one Dennis! That was the first time we read the story about Dennis and his siblings finding a home. We used to foster greyhounds and I can remember distinctly when I knew that the one who was a foster and then became ours. When was it you knew Dennis was not a foster and was already home?

I wasn’t a reader when you posted the rescue story, so I gave it a read. I’m so happy that all the vizslas went to good homes and that there was a happy ending to their story! I can’t believe how much hair that Dennis lost to the mange, he looks like a totally different dog now.
