Having narrowly escaped injury when the devious TR0UB13 forced my lightcycle to crash into the wall of the arena, I have now slipped through a gap in the firewall and made my way out into the open space beyond the iPhone sandbox. Unfortunately, TR0UB13 remains on my trail, and I am now being pursued by anti-jailbreaking security forces as well. Not knowing my way around this otherworldly place of neon and art deco architecture, it is only a matter of time before I am caught, unless I can find help. And all the while I can’t escape the feeling that I’m being watched …
I quickly become hopelessly lost in the maze of circuits and logic gates; all the while the sounds of pursuit draw closer and closer. Suddenly I come to a sheer dropoff, where a single misstep will send me plummeting into uninitialized space; before I can double back, a massive security tank arrives, cutting off my escape!
My attempt at negotiation fails, and I steel myself to receive a blast of bits from the tank’s cannon, when suddenly a ship appears from the abyss behind me. Is this salvation, or another enemy?
Rescue is at hand! I quickly board the lightship and we make our escape before the tank can fire!
I have been rescued, for now. But why? Who are this boy scout TRON and his girlfriend YORI, and what do they want from me? Through incisive questioning, I learn the truth. Some of it, anyway.
YORI protests too much, it seems, but I do not press the issue. Instead, I hold my tongue, and wait for us to meet this app called Dumont. Can he truly help me get out of the iPhone? We will see. If not, I will find another way; because I am Dennis the Vizsla, and I never give up.
