*Dada’s note: Dennis has been standing with most of his weight on one foot lately, so we took him in for X-rays. The results could have been better. However he is getting around okay for now, and is still able to jump onto the furniture and bed. He’ll be getting some additional supplements targeting arthritis plus daily metacam to keep him comfortable.

  1. Dennis I cross my paws that the meds help you and that efurrything looks better after the next vet visit. Maybe that rum is a good treatment too? I can help ya to empty that barrel… 15 dogs on a dead squirrels chest…yohoho and a barrel with rum :o)

  2. That is nature’s way of telling you to slow down, Dennis, and let Saya the Mighty fight the forces of evil. She is better suited for it anyway.

  3. Dennis, it sounds like it is time for you to step up and be the Mighty Observer of the Estate and leave the actual fighting of evil-doers to Saya – and it’s time for her to step into the role of The Crazy Vizsla anyway! As the Eagles (don’t tell Saya about them!) say, Take it Easy!

  4. Addendum – your Dada said you’ve been standing on one foot – does that mean you are practicing your ballet moves? Our Mom has a couple of tutus she uses with the shelter doggies – I’m sure one would fit you if you’d like to borrow it! We are still picturing you standing on one foot! Heehee!

  5. Hey Denny, Sorry to hear you’re feeling bad. When I was a little puppy the vet told my mom that my limp was because of bad hips in the back end. I have the displaysia, too! I am not allowed to do a lot of running or jumping, but those magic pills help a lot when it gets bad. Take it easy, old man! Your friend Auggie.

  6. I think El Nino is partially to blame for your aches and pains, Dennis. If he’d ever leave we might all feel a little better, joint wise! Glad your dada and mama have supplements, etc., to help you feel more comfortable.

    Take life easy!

  9. Yikes, will someone please go save Saya from the seagulls and albatross? Or maybe it is the seagulls and albatross that need saving.

So sorry to hear this about Dennis. Hopefully all the meds and supplements will help make him feel comfortable. It seems like there is always something, doesn’t it? All paws crossed for Dennis to do OK.

  10. Old age is catching up with all of us Dennis. I’m on medication for arthritis too but I didn’t have to visit the vet. Our weather’s crazy hot here in Tasmania so please hurry up & dump the ice on El Ninio so we can return to normal

  11. Dennis!! My sister Ruby used to get these injection thingies called Adequan that was for her arthritis stuff. It seemed to help her a lot. I have to go to the vet today cuz I have pink poop. It’s nice of our peeps to send vet’s kids to college!!

  13. Oh, Dennis. That’s a bummer. Hope you are feeling better and the new pills are helping. You should let Saya chase all those birds. You just rest and let mama and dada wait on you hand and foot. (Or is it “wait on you paw and paw”?)
