Hello friendlies! Lulu here! Last month, we had a pretty big wind storm here in San Diego County. While Mama and Dada were mostly concerned with the damage the wind was doing—for instance, it destroyed Mama’s plumeria shelter that Dada made, which, to be honest, was not exactly the sturdiest thing in the world—I was mostly interested in all the fascinating smells is brought in from far away. Have a look, not to mention a listen!
So remember, friendlies: Raise your nose to the wind once in a while. You never know what you might smell. This is Lulu, rolling over and out!
Chaplin: “I feel bad for the humans. With their noses, smelling the wind won’t tell them much of anything unless the neighbors are barbecuing or they live near a rendering plant.”
Lulu: “Either one of those would smell fantastic.”
Charlee: “From what Dennis used to tell us, ‘Smelling the wind’ had a whole different meaning when Tucker was around.”
Good thing you don’t have hayfever, Lulu! Course maybe windy conditions blows pollen down the road. Cool clouds to go with that wind.

I, Marvelous, was impressed with your furs blowing in the wind! I tried to reach out and touch you! Our hairy slobbery sister Cinnamon lives the wind smells too, (especially when there is a bear up river). You are awesome Lulu.

We saw you tasting the wind as well as smelling it. Did some fish get blown up nearby? That wind looks dangerous, like it could blow little ol’ me away! XOX Xena

Thanks for the tip, Lulu. The weather peeps say we’re supposed to get high winds tomorrow so we will be sure to stick our noses high in the air to see what smells they send us.

That was some kind of evil wind storm, look at all those roiling clouds…
Even your furs were being tussled by those winds!
Good sniffs, though, eh!?!
We have a flower shop here called Plumeria, we hope its sturdier than your shelter, LOL!
