Lulu’s Life Tips: Sometimes You Have To Assert Yourself To Get What You Want

Hello friendlies! Lulu here! Now you may have gotten the impression, from previous posts, that I am pretty laid back and just go with the flow. While that’s true for the most part, there comes a time when a dog has to assert herself to get what she wants, like play time, or belly rubs, or a visit to the bathroom. And while sometimes there might be something standing—or rolling around on its back—in your way, if you just stand up for yourself, you can get by most obstacles.

This is Lulu, rolling over and out!

Chaplin: “As far as I could tell, you didn’t ‘assert’ anything. You gave Dada a beseeching look and he came to help you.”
Lulu: “Beseeching looks are how we dogs get things done.”
Charlee: “I guess that works if you have no self respect. As for me, All I have to do is meow at Dada a certain way and he’ll drop whatever he’s doing to try and figure out what I want.”
