Hello friendlies! Lulu here, with another life tip! This time it’s about fun. Now, some people might try to tell you that what you think is fun is not fun, and that what you think is not fun is fun. But remember, fun is whatever you think it is. Take fetch. This is where somebody throws something and you go get it and bring it back to them. That might be fun for some, but maybe you don’t want to go through the whole “fetch” process. Maybe you just like to run and grab what’s thrown and then nibble on it. Maybe you just want to do it a few times and then run off and stick your snout in the ivy. My point is, you may feel pressure to accept somebody else’s idea of “fun” just to go along with them, but take it from me, you don’t have to. Fetching is optional. Check it out:
Lulu: “No, I call it doing whatever I feel like doing.”
Charlee: “Obviously. But let us show you how fetch is done properly.”
Lulu: “I think I’m not a retriever.”
Charlee: “I’m not a retriever either, and I still used to play fetch when I was younger. Of course, then I got a strongly worded letter from the Cat Dignity Council telling me to knock it off.”
Lulu: “There’s a Cat Dignity Council?”
Chaplin: “Of course. Somebody’s got to make sure we’re all following the standards. Otherwise we might backslide and start acting like dogs.”
So just remember, friendlies: What’s fun is what you think is fun, not what other people think is fun. And not even a letter from the Cat Dignity Council means that what you think is fun is not in fact fun. This is Lulu, rolling over and out!

Well, we give Dennis lots of praise for playing that fetch fun thing so very well. But we are with you. We will chase whatever gets tossed, but forget bringing it back. Why did they throw it in the first place if they want it back again???

I, Dalton do not play fetch, in fact I don’t think I know how to play anything, other than dog wrassling with Benji…sad, eh? I do like to try and lick petcretary;s face when she bends down in hte garden…BOL! That’s playing, right?

Charlee: “Oh that was Dennis! From what Dennis told us, Tucker wasn’t big on fetching either. He preferred to just hold onto his toys and nurse on them and make muffins.”
Chaplin: “Which meant more fetch for Dennis, so that was all right.”
Lulu: “Hmm … Are you guys sure Tucker was a dog? Because he sounds kind of like a cat from that description.”

Lulu, you do what you want to do! Shake, chew, fetch! It keeps the human occupied! And I, Marv also play fetch. Not as much as I did before Cinnamon came when Dad got sick. She steals my fetching toys when Mom throws them for me and there is NOTHING worse on Cat toys than Dog Slobber!
