Hello friendlies! Lulu here with another edition of my lawn patrol! Now, to be a proper lawn patrol dog, you have to be willing to go out and make your rounds in all kinds of weather. What’s that, you say? You haven’t got weather in Southern California? Well of course we do! Here’s an example of my patrolling the lawn when the yard is covered in a pretty hard frost, the kind that makes your paw pads chilly. Have a look and see!

Lulu: “I didn’t see you out there getting your paws cold.”
So remember, friendlies! Neither frost nor darkness nor excessive sunshine will prevent the lawn from being patrolled!

Lulu: “Now that’s just crazy talk.”
Base booms are of course another matter. Even a lawn patrol dog has to know when to be prudent. This is Lulu, rolling over and out!
I gotta admit that I don’t know what a base boom is? 🙂

Lulu: “Ooh, I covered base booms a while ago ― I even wrote a song about them. Here’s a link!”

We think you were very brave going out into the frost, Lu. I mean, it ain’t 6 inches of snow, but still colder and wetter and scarier than sunshine. We are not sure of this base boom situation, but they sound terrifying. Grab a spot on the couch and wait it out.
Love and licks,

Well done on your patrol! Yeah, Norman & Elsa second that motion about not doing patrols during base booms. Best to stay inside and luxuriate in peace and quiet.

I like the frost! Mom doesn’t. I love to run in the frost. Mom says, just wait, soon it will be warm there won’t be any frost. I think I’ll wait. I like the frost. TLC Cai-Cai

We patrol in sleet and ice and rain, just a little faster. XOX Lucy
I patrolled even when there was an 8 foot snake in our yard. Then I stopped and barked at it long enough for Mommy to come out and get rid of it. (She recognized that I had never used that bark before!) XOX Xena

Great patrolling, Lulu. Wow, can you run fast.
Is there a dog who ‘does’ like base booms? Don’t think so!!!

You sure look like you were having fun patrolling your yard. Of course a little frost is nothing to us northern living pups.
