Lulu: “Dada’s write-up about his aneurysm continues over on his other blog this week!”
Charlee: “I don’t know why he even has another blog. Why does he need one when he has ours?”
Chaplin: “I think it’s so he can use bad language over there when he wants to. Sort of like HBO.”

Arthroscopic Surgery Is Not Always Minor
THE FOLLOWING IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Hello stuffie friends. This is Yellow Duckie, with an important public service announcement about arthroscopic surgery. You may have heard that arthroscopic surgery is a safe and effective treatment for many conditions, which is true, but you still must be sure to choose a qualified arthroscopic surgeon. Unfortunately, I did not have that option; stuffie rules require that I visit my PCP (or “primary canine playmate”) for all procedures, and my PCP is the infamous Dennis.
Donations Sought For Surgery For Rescue Vizsla – Nashville, TN
You have to love a dog named after Bill Paxton’s character from Aliens. (Well, I do, anyway.) More information can be found at http://www.atlantavizsla.org/VCMA_HudsonFund.htm. From the vizsla rescue list:

Date: Monday, June 8, 2009, 10:24 AMJust an update on the dogs found in Nashville, and a plea for help. We are trying to raise money for Hudson’s surgery. The estimated cost to repair his leg is $2600. Our club raised $370 bathing dogs last Saturday and we’ve had several generous donations by individuals, but we are only half way to our goal. If you would like to contribute, please go to http://www.atlantavizsla.org/VCMA_HudsonFund.htm.
Hudson is scheduled for surgery on June 11th. He and Hunter are being fostered separately, and both are doing well.
Thanks for your help!

Subject: 2 vizslas found in Nashville, TN (Update)These boys have not been claimed. Yesterday they were both neutered. One boy was x-rayed for an ongoing limp, which unfortunately revealed an old elbow fracture that never fused. We are shopping around for an orthopedist and will probably be starting a collection drive soon. Our vet said it could be upwards of $3000 to repair. 😦
